A Family Great Camp in NY
page 2 |
The
house is oriented to the view and lake while being protected by the trees.
An existing campsite was found on this spot, representing several years of
local wisdom about the best place to spend the night.
A stone pillar and fireplace now rise through the center of the house at
the location of the former campsite fire ring.

and emailed image files. |

If you have to work while on vacation, your desk
should have a really good view... |
and so should the tub... |

Log Porch |
The house construction incorporates
local cedar logs, expertly wrestled into place, shaped by the builders and
joined with custom steel structural hardware. The large screened porch is
anchored by a 24" diameter central log pillar and is wringed with smaller
log posts which were embedded in the walls. |
