an art-filled house as remodeled successively by two architects. Kurt
Lavenson transformed the house into a modernist dwelling from its dark & woody mid century roots.
Ten years later another architect has remodeled the remodel and taken it further,

California Council features an interview with Architect Kurt Lavenson for
his "representatively unique" career path and his community involvement.

and approval process for residential garage conversions. The article
features two Lavenson Design projects and interview commentary with Kurt
Lavenson.

Francisco Chronicle & Oakland Montclarion, 2004 Articles
focusing on the renaissance of four public stairways in the Oakmore
Highlands neighborhood of Oakland and the public-private cooperation
required to complete the project. Pro Bono services
donated by Kurt Lavenson helped the local homeowner's association work
successfully with the
city public works agency.
CED 100 @ 100 virtual
exhibition, 2003 U.C. Berkeley College of Environmental Design
exhibit of work by 100 graduates of the 100 year-old department of
architecture. The web-based exhibit is
intended to showcase the broad range of work being produced by graduates
from the department as it celebrates the centennial event. Three Lavenson projects
are displayed.
Home Workspace Idea Book, 2002.
New printing of the earlier book 'At Work at Home' by Architect Neal Zimmerman,
for inclusion in the expanding Taunton Press 'home ideas' collection. The
book
again features the Lavenson Design architectural office conversion.
